Libriate allows creation of Sony's proprietary .lrf files from text files and gif files. It is designed to be used in conjunction with Sony's Librie (EBR-1000) currently only sold in Japan.

Drag and drop text files and cover/thumb gif files and an lrf file will be outputed. Libriate uses the 'makelrf' function found in the Yahoo Librie group.

Libriate also allows one to transfer those lrf files to a Sony memory stick and will create an index file to be read on the Librie. This is accomplished with the help of Peter Knowles and his booklistgen utility.

This is currently the GUI utility for the OSX which can both create and transfer lrf files.
